Press Conference at City Hall & March to Trans Thrive (1460 Pine St, San Francisco, CA 94109) for a Townhall Meeting with Queer and Trans API Community Leaders, Organized by Kiki Lopez under the San Francisco Community Health Center, Office of Transgender Initiatives & Transgender March.

Please join the first-ever QTAPI Strong: A March for Resilience, Justice & Belonging on Tuesday, May 27. This event is co-organized by Kiki Lopez, alongside Rowland Mendoza (SFCHC), Lana Patel (Transgender March), and Cherry Javier (Office of Transgender Initiatives). This landmark event uplifts our Queer and Trans API communities and brings us together in collective celebration and action.

The event aims to:

  1. Honor the Legacy – Uplift the history of trans and queer activism within San Francisco’s AANHPI community and recognize the contributions of QTAPI Coalition founders.

  2. Empower, Engage & Strengthen Alliances – Encourage deeper involvement in the QTAANHPI movement by sharing resources, building solidarity, and strengthening collaborations between community-based organizations and local government.

  3. Confront Today’s Political Climate – Provide space to speak truth to power, address the harmful narratives impacting our communities, and mobilize toward collective safety and liberation.

 

This will be a three-part event:

  1. Press Conference & Rally | 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM City Hall Steps, 1 Dr. Carlton B. Goodlett Place

  2. Unity March | 6:00 PM – 6:30 PM From City Hall to Trans Thrive

  3. Townhall Discussion & Closing Gathering | 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM Trans Thrive, 1460 Pine Street
